THIS is the moment Princess Anne battled to control her horse during Trooping the Colour procession.

Fans have praised the Royal, 73, for her “outstanding skills” when the stallion she was riding started behaving difficultly during the King’s birthday celebrations on Saturday.

In a bid not to make a scene and steal the attention from her monarch brother’s parade, the former Olympian was able to calm the animal down.

The horse became irritated, shaking its head from left to right while galloping in quick motions on the spot.

But the Princess Royal successfully relaxed the beast and carried out the rest of the procession.

One person wrote on X/Twitter: “Princess Anne managed her horse brilliantly but I bet she was exhausted by the end of day; that horse was a handful!”

A second said: “If anyone can handle a misbehaving horse, it’s Princess Anne.”

Another fan commented: “Princess Anne, is an outstanding horsewoman.”

Princess Anne had a starring role in Trooping the Colour.

The Princess Royal, Colonel of The Blues and Royals, wore the Full Mounted Ceremonial uniform of the Blues and Royals.

She also carried the Gold Stick along with the Colonel of The Life Guards who is the Gold Stick-in-Waiting for this year’s parade.

The princess donned aiguilettes as a Personal Aide-de-Camp to His Majesty, King Charles.

Charles, 75, and Princess Kate, 42, were reunited on the Buckingham Palace balcony yesterday for the first time since they both began cancer treatment.

It was a brave return to public life for Kate who has valiantly battled cancer for the last three months.

The Princess of Wales joined other members of the Royal Family to watch a spectacular flypast by the RAF as she made a triumphant return to public life at Trooping the Colour.

She beamed on Saturday as she made her first public appearance in months with doting husband Prince William and their kids at her side.

Kate looked stunning dressed in white as she laughed and chatted away to her family.

Prince William, who looked dapper in his red Irish Guards uniform, proudly donning medals on his chest, beamed at crowds, too.

Well-wishers held Union Jacks high as they squished together along the Mall – donning crowns and fascinators atop their heads.

ROYAL RETURN

The streets were coloured red, white and blue, as fans waited patiently to see the Princess of Wales.

Crowds erupted in the afternoon as Princess Kate stepped onto the balcony with Wills and her kids at her side.

The day had been plagued by rain but downpours couldn’t dampen Kate’s shine as she beamed alongside her family.

Fans watched on in awe as the Princess joked and laughed with her children.

Princess Kate earlier shared sweet behind-the-scenes footage of her with George, Charlotte and Louis leaving for Trooping the Colour.

And while her appearance was highly anticipated by many, the Princess of Wales was eager to deflect attention away from her according to a body language expert.

She explained that Kate was keen to ensure that her father-in-law remained the focus during Trooping the Colour.
