EAGLE-eyed royal fans have spotted Kate Middleton wearing a new ring as she appeared alongside Prince William to congratulate Team GB.
The Prince and Princess of Wales, both 42, appeared with a host of stars in a video which was shared to the royal’s social media pages yesterday.

The outfit, which originally sold for £85, has been part of Kate’s wardrobe since 2013.
Kate was first seen wearing it while out food shopping in Anglesey, North Wales, in August 2013.
She later wore it to an official SportAid charity event at the Olympic Park in London two months later.
In the recent video, Kate is seen wearing a minimal amount of jewellery, with just a thin silver choker-style necklace and no earrings.
Royal fans did spot that she was wearing a new band on her wedding ring finger, leading many to think it was an eternity ring.
It was only a fleeting glimpse of the apparently gold ring and appeared to be set with diamonds and sapphires, which would match the royal’s engagement ring that once belonged to Princess Diana.
Taking to the Royal Fashion Police Instagram post, commentators were quick to speculate about the ring.
One said: “The sapphire anniversary/eternity band is a lovely alternative to her engagement ring.
“Nice to have a ring with a lower profile for everyday casual wear.”
Replying to that message, another added: “I think it’s beautiful and probably a more reasonable everyday ring.”
Another wrote “That sapphire band sure looks far more practical for daily living and it sure is pretty.”
Anya Walsh, jewellery expert at 77 Diamonds, Europe’s largest online diamond jeweller, told The Sun: “From what we can see in the video, Kate’s new ring seems to be a wide eternity band with alternating diamonds and gemstones.
“They could be deep blue sapphires or a darker type of red ruby.
“A wonderful piece to layer with other rings, this design also complements Kate’s sapphire engagement ring by contrasting the clear white finish of diamonds with a dash of gemstone colour.
“The setting seems to be yellow gold, which can add a lot of warmth to the design and is the ideal choice when it comes to coloured gems.
“We’ll no doubt see more of this ring in future as it’s perfect for everyday wear.”
In the short clip of the royal couple, Prince William who was wearing an official blue Team GB top, stood next to her and sported an unshaven look.
Kate said: “From all of us watching at home congratulations to Team GB.”
William added: “Well done to Team GB you’ve been an inspiration to us all.”
Along with the footage, the royals said: “Well done @teamgb, what an incredible journey.
“Every athlete showed immense dedication, heart and passion. You made us all so proud.
From all of us watching at home congratulations to Team GB
Kate's message to the British Olympians
“Here’s to celebrating every triumph @paris2024 and looking forward to more from @paralympicsgb_official later in the summer.”
Princess Kate has rarely been seen since she said in an emotional video message that she was receiving cancer treatment.
Kate though did make a public appearance for Trooping the Colour in June.
She also turned up to watch the Wimbledon men’s single final with her daughter Princess Charlotte.
King Charles also called all Olympians “an inspiration” in a touching statement.
The monarch’s message, which came just hours before the final moments of the Olympic Games in Paris, applauded their “outstanding successes” and singled out their “raw talent, true grit and hard toil”.
Also appearing in the video featuring the Prince and Princess of Wales were a host of famous faces all giving a message of support.
Former England captain David Beckham said: “Hey Team GB, we are so proud of you, congratulations.”
Broadcaster Gabby Logan added: “You have been amazing. Thank you so much for everything. These memories will last a very long time.”
Michael Johnson, the retired US sprinter and broadcaster cheekily said: “Great job Team GB, you did a great job, not quite as good as us in the US, but well done.”
Also appearing was the former Welsh athlete Colin Jackson who simply said: “You smashed it.”
Meanwhile swimmer Rebecca Adlington said: “Your performances have been absolutely fantastic.”
Presenter Clare Balding added: “I know how much you have lifted the nation and I just want to say thank you for that.”
Bringing the video to a close was the US rapper Snoop Dogg, who has been a popular figure at the Games as a special guest presenter for the American broadcaster NBC.
He said: “Thank you Great Britain. On behalf of Snoop Dogg, the Prince and his lovely wife,” before clasping his hands together and bowing his head.
